Prof. Dr. Margarita Vaklinova and Assistant Tsvetana Komitova in Nicopolis ad Nestum. This year&#8217;s excavations near the village of Garmen (SW BG) financed by the Ministry of culture, provide interesting information about the reconstructions of the city villa (villa urbana), built in the 2nd century \u2013 including about its paving with a beautiful mosaic, which will be restored and conserved.<\/p>\n<p>According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vaklinova the building belonged originally to a noble citizen \u2013 perhaps, the governor of the city, and then became the residence of a bishop; the villa&#8217;s bathroom was turned into a baptistery with marble trays, decorated with crosses.
