The fortress of three mountains, as archaeologists used to call the remains of ancient walls above the city of Yakoruda, was certainly inhabited by Thracians. Before it was built, there was a sanctuary at the same place. To this conclusion came the team of Chief Assist. Dr. Mariela Inkova from the National Museum of History (NMH) during the excavations in one of the most beautiful places in Bulgaria. Archaeologia Bulgarica filmed striking views and recorded an interview with the head of the survey, and then sought the epigraphist, read the inscriptions on the fragments of bricks found in the stronghold.
